eSIM for multiple countries: regional plan or one eSIM per country?

For a trip to one country, a country plan is almost always cheaper. For several countries and about 3 GB in total, a regional plan in Europe, Southeast Asia or Central Asia costs 1.5 to 2.3 times less in our October 4, 2026 comparison. For heavy data use, country plans cost less or the same.

The Balkans and the Gulf are exceptions, and a "Europe" plan may skip your country. A country plan will not work next door: choose one regional plan or one eSIM per country.

How is a regional plan different from a country plan?

A regional plan covers several countries with one QR code, one profile and one shared data allowance. At the border nothing needs switching: the phone joins a local network on its own.

With country plans you keep several profiles and pick the data line in settings. Each plan starts when it first connects in its country. Data does not carry over: leftover Italian data is useless in Spain.

Will a plan for one country work in another?

No. Outside its country a plan has no internet, even if the profile is installed. An Italy eSIM will not work in Turkey, and a Montenegro eSIM will not work in Serbia. Add a second plan, or take a regional plan that lists both countries.

When is a regional plan cheaper?

Our comparison of October 4, 2026. "Light use" is about 3 GB per trip: 1 GB per country or one 3 GB regional plan. "Heavy use" is 3 GB per country or one 10 GB regional plan.

With little data you still pay a minimum plan per country; with lots of data, country plans are cheaper per GB.

Compare plans, not names: on October 4, 2026, for Japan and Korea the wide "Asia, 14 countries" plan with 5 GB was cheaper than the narrow "Japan and South Korea" one.

When is a country plan better?

Which countries do regional plans include?

The lists differ even when names look alike:

Before paying, check every country on your route against the plan, including layovers where you leave the airport.

Is there an eSIM for the whole world?

Yes, global plans cover more than 100 countries. They cost several times more than regional ones and suit routes across continents.

How much data for several countries?

Count by days, not countries. See how much data travelers use.

How to buy an eSIM for your route

Country by country. Open each page, such as France, Malaysia, South Korea or Kazakhstan, and pick the data. Install all profiles at home over Wi-Fi; see the activation guide.

One plan for the route. There is no regional plans page yet, but a country page offers a regional plan when it is cheaper. For example, France with 3 GB for 15 days currently costs $4.69, and in October 2026 that option was a Europe regional plan. For one plan on your route, message support on Telegram before paying.

Payment: crypto (USDT, TON) from any country; Russian bank cards and SBP are also accepted. Cards issued outside Russia are not accepted yet. If the eSIM does not fit your phone or does not work, you get a refund or a replacement.

FAQ

Which is cheaper: a regional eSIM or separate country plans?

For one country, a country plan. For several countries and about 3 GB in total, usually a regional plan. For a lot of data, country plans cost less or the same.

Does a Europe eSIM cover every European country?

No. Each Europe plan has its own list. Some of ours leave out France or Turkey, and none includes Montenegro, which is in the Balkans plan. Check the plan's country list against your route before you pay.

Can I have several eSIMs on one phone?

Yes. Install them all at home over Wi-Fi and choose in settings which line handles mobile data when you cross a border.

When does a regional plan's validity start?

At the first connection to a network, not at purchase or installation. A regional plan has one validity period for all its countries: 30 days run from the first connection in any of them.

Will an eSIM for one country work in another?

No. A country plan connects only to networks in its own country. For several countries you need a regional plan or one eSIM per country.

How do I buy a regional eSIM on eSIM SOS?

On the country page: if a regional plan is cheaper for the data and validity you pick, it is offered automatically. For one plan on a specific route, message support before paying.
